Department of Nursing
(Senju Campus)

Become a nurse / public health nurse who can contribute to the health of people living in the community

Nurses help everyone from newborns to the elderly so that they can live their lives by being close to their "life" and "heart".
In this department, we will develop a wide range of skills for collaborating with other professions, as well as advanced knowledge and skills for engaging in medical care.
Since nursing is targeted not only at hospitals but also at people living in the community,
we train nurses and public health nurses who can contribute to improving the quality of life from the perspective of rehabilitation and prevention.

イメージ

Three Features

Point 1

Learn interprofessional work and the method of "connecting hospitals and communities" through off-campus training from an early stage

Practical training at the hospital will start from the first year, but from the second year, students develop the ability to understand the community and life from the perspective of a nurse.
This is done not only through hospital training but also training at the Community Comprehensive Support Center and facilities for the elderly.
Students will also learn methods for demonstrating leadership in collaboration with many occupations such as medical care and welfare, while playing a role that makes use of their expertise as a nurse / public health nurse, such as physical condition management and health education.

Point 2

We aim to pass all students with thorough national examination preparation

From the second year, students will start preparing for the national examination early on in their studies, such as through a "lower grade mock exam".
In the 4th year, in addition to introducing group learning and e-learning (through tablet devices),
we also provide commentary lectures by outside lecturers and explanations focusing on their weaknesses by faculty members, with the aim of passing all of them.

Point 3

Foster humanity and ethics in addition to the knowledge and skills necessary for nursing

In addition to learning specialized knowledge and skills in the fields of medical care and nursing, we also place great importance on fostering humanity and ethics to support patients and those around them.
We offer unique courses such as "art and dialogue" and "music and expression" that cultivate the ability to see, think, and express things, as well as "animal-human relations theory" that practices animal therapy, which has been attracting attention in recent years.
