主な研究と活動

　近年、獣医療の発展とそれに伴う犬猫の高齢化、さらには飼い主の意識の向上により、動物医療に求められる役割はますます多様化・高度化しています。
　私は臨床と研究の双方に従事し、臨床現場に還元可能な研究である治療や診断に関わる薬剤やバイオマーカーについて検討を重ねてきました。実際の診療で直面する課題を出発点とし、基礎と臨床をつなぐ研究を推進しています。
　また教育においては、疾患を単なる知識としてではなく、病態生理に基づいて理解する力を養うことを重視しています。そのうえで、飼い主との適切なコミュニケーション能力を備え、動物医療に主体的に貢献できる動物看護師の育成を目指しています。
