Payment Method

Payment is made by automatic withdrawal from your bank account.
At TUS, the student payment is automatically deducted from the specified account.

  • * If the withdrawal date falls on a weekend or holiday, it will be on the next working day of the bank.
  • * Please note that we do not deal with transfers for the entire period (one time) payment.

Information on Account Registration regarding Automatic Withdrawal

An account registration guide will be sent to the guarantor's address of the freshman in early June.

* If it is difficult to make a payment by the deadline for financial reasons, deferred payments or partial payments can be made.
Please contact the account office at each campus as soon as possible.

Exemption from Tuition Fees

TUS reduced tuition scholarship for privately financed international students.
TUS reduced tuition scholarship is offered in percentages of 30%, with the purpose of helping to reduce the financial burden for international students who have difficulties in continuing studies due to financial circumstances.

Eligibility

  • *Those who apply to Article 3 of "Official development assistance/Study assistance subsidy for international students(Reduced tuition school organization assistance) grand guidelines"stipulated by MEXT.
  • *Those who have difficulty continuing their studies due to financial circumstances and who are recognized as having good academic performance.
  • *The amount of allowance sent from the guarantor or financial supporter must be less than JPY100,000 per month.

How to Apply

Students who wish to apply for the TUS Tuition Reduction Scholarship should first contact the Student Affairs Department of each campus you belong to and submit the following documents.

  • 1.Application Form
  • 2.Statement of Financial Situation
  • 3.Recommendation Letter
  • 4.Academic Transcript (except for Freshman)
  • 5.Documents showing the amount of remittance from your home country (e.g. Bankbook or Bank statements)

Application Period

The application is due by the end of April of the academic year in which the reduction will be applied to.

Amount of Reduction

Of all tuition and fees, 30% of tuition fee will be deducted.
