Develop the ability to nurture the diverse personalities of children and contribute to a prosperous future.
Develop the ability to nurture the diverse personalities of children and contribute to a prosperous future.
Early childhood education and childcare sites continue to evolve and change, such as in the integration of kindergartens and nursery schools and certified centers for early childhood education.
We will train specialists who can appropriately support the development of children.
To that end, students will acquire the two licenses and qualifications of "kindergarten teacher" and "nursery teacher" that will be required on site in the future.
You will acquire necessary skills through practical training and fieldwork in a nursery school.
Point 1
Certified qualification of "Play Song Rhythmic Level 2 Instructor" and "Rhythmic Instructor Specializing in Children with Developmental Disabilities"
In this department, by taking the prescribed subjects, students can obtain the certified qualifications of the International Asobi Uta Music Association, such as "Play song Rhythmic Level 2 Instructor", "Rhythmic Instructor specialized for children with developmental disabilities", and "Play song Rhythmic Level 1 Course Completed".
Students improve their "comprehensive musical and physical expressiveness" required for a childcare worker.
Point 2
Collaboration with "Senju Sakuragi Nursery School" and the community
In April 2020, "Teikyo University of Science Senju Sakuragi Nursery School" opened next to the main building of the TUS campus.
Through volunteer activities at this nursery center and contact with children, students can directly feel and learn about the growth of infants, and deepen their learning by going back and forth with classroom learning.
In addition, in collaboration with Adachi Ward where the campus is located, we will hold a "Nobi Nobi Play Day" inviting parents and children from the local area to experience various games.
Through experiences such as planning, preparation, practice, and reflection of booths, students will improve their practical skills on site.
Point 3
Follow-up with students thoroughly from the first year under the advisory faculty system
We have adopted an "advisory faculty system" in which one faculty member carefully supports students for four years from admission to graduation.
In the 1st year "Basic Seminar", they will follow students so that they can start learning at university smoothly, assisting with skills such as report writing and literature search methods.
