Four years to learn about humanity in addition to a wide range of knowledge and skills

Beginning with understanding the human body, we develop a wide range of learning such as treatment methods for injuries and illnesses.
Students will systematically learn the knowledge and skills necessary to become a physical therapist who is a rehabilitation specialist.
In addition to acquiring national qualifications, we train physiotherapists who are well-educated, have the humanity necessary to work in a team, and have the attitude to continue learning throughout their lives.

Three Features

Point 1

Hone practical skills in physiotherapy through off-campus training from an early stage

Physical therapists who will play an active role in the coming era will need a wide range of knowledge and skills, including the perspective of looking at the human body scientifically and the prevention of injuries and illnesses.
In this department, students will learn practically how to communicate with patients and how to understand their feelings through off-campus training from early on.

Point 2

Develop an attitude of continuing to learn in the future in an environment where students can access the latest research

A lot of academic research on physical therapy is also conducted in this department.
We have faculty members with various specialties such as medicine as well as physical therapy, and we are conducting joint research in collaboration with graduates working at nearby hospitals and facilities.
By participating in these studies, students will acquire the attitude to continue their studies as a physiotherapist.

Point 3

Broadening your future career path in new fields such as animal-assisted therapy and robot therapy

Students can also take courses such as animal-assisted therapy, rehabilitation through animals in collaboration with the Department of Animal Science, and robot therapy in collaboration with the Department of Children Education & Science.
Students will deepen their knowledge about the latest rehabilitation methods and broaden their range of responses when they go on-site.
